1. Students are usually admitted only at the beginning of the first year of the Degree and Post Graduate Courses.
2. Candidates who have passed the +2 or equivalent examinations, with eligibility for admission to a course of study in the University are alone admitted to the Degree Course

3. Candidates who have passed the respective Degree examinations namely B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. are admitted to the respective Post Graduate Courses. However 10% of the M.A. Economics seats are reserved for candidates who have passed the B.Sc., mathematics Degree Course

4.  Application for admission can be had from the College office on payment of Rs. 30/- in person or by Money-Order. Those who wish to get the form by post shall send a self addressed and stamped envelope or add the required amount in the M.O. The application should reach the college office on or before the stipulated date. A self addressed post card should be attached to every application. The candidates provisionally selected will be informed by post. They should produce the following documents at the time of interview. 
        1. Original Marklist
2. Transfer Certificate
3. Conduct Certificate
Candidates possessing qualifying certificates from Universities or Board of Examination other than those of Kerala shall also produce.1. Migration Certificate
2. Qualifying Certificate
3. Eligibility Certificate from the University of Kerala.
5. No Candidate shall be enrolled to attend any classes until the prescribed fees are paid in full.

6. Any candidate who is found to have obtained admission by false representation will be summarily dismissed and will forfeit whatever fees he / she has paid.

7. A student applying for Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate etc. should have paid all fees and dues if any. Medical inspection will be conducted and Conduct Certificates will be normally issued free of charge within three months of completion of course of study at the College. Late application for T.C. must be accompanied by a fine of Rs. 15/-.A fee of Rs. 30/- will be levied for issue of duplicate T.C. However it will be issued only on the basis of a Certificate from a First Class Magistrate or Public Notary to the effect that the original is lost irrecoverably.

8. Caution Deposit will be refunded only at the end of the course after clearing the dues, if any.


1. There are five working days in a week.

2. Every working day will have two sessions. The morning session is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the after noon session from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The morning session is divided into 3 periods and the afternoon session into 2 periods, each of one hour duration. Besides lecturer classes there will be seminars, group discussions ,tutorials, and counselling.

3. Absence for any one period will be treated as absence for half a day, absence during any one period in both halves will be treated as absence for one full day.

4. Students should be in their seats right from the beginning of each class. They should not leave the class without the permission of the teacher. Late comers shall not enter the class without the permission of the teacher. No student shall loiter in the campus or veranda during class hours.

5. Leave of absence for a period or a portion of it may be obtained from the teacher concerned. Leave for a day or more shall be obtained in advance from the Principal on written application in the prescribed form through the head of the Dept. The Principal reserves the right to reject or grant leave.

6. Unauthorized absence for 10 working days or more at a stretch is sufficient ground for removal of a student from the roll. Readmission, which is the discretion of the Principal, requires payment of a fee of Rs. 10/- and any other fees due so far.

7. A minimum attendance of 75% of the total working days of the year is required for promotion and for admission to University examination. Deficiency will be condoned only if the Syndicate is satisfied with the reason for the leave. Deficiency beyond 20 days will not be condoned on any account. Exemption will not be granted for more than one academic year in a course of study.

8. No application for exemption will be recommended by the Principal unless he is satisfied that the shortage of attendance was caused by reasons beyond the control of the student and that leave was duly applied for during the period of absence.
