Teaching Learning Process
With a view to commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Sree Narayana College, Nattika in a befitting manner a number of programmes have been chalked out to be conducted during 2017-18. As part of these programmes an exhibition, Festival sale and an entrepreneurial training “SUVARNA 2017” has been arranged by the Department of Commerce in the campus from 29th to 31st August 2017. The exhibition is open to all students of our nearby institutions and to the general public.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr.Subhashini Mahadevan, Block Panchayath President of Thallikulam. One of the major attractions of our programme was the Cancuperik style painting exhibition by Sri. Raveendran Vallappad. The participants of this exhibition were Secret spices, State Bank of India, Co-optex Thrissur, Mrs.Clean Thalikkulam, Mayakku Pickels Pazhuvil, Kerala Shastra Sahithya Parishad, Amul Nattika, Cheeroos Collections Thriprayar, Green Magic Garden Thriprayar, Lavendar Boutique Nattika, Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Perugottukara etc.
All the stalls are controlled and managed by our students. Stocks were collected and their sales were managed by commerce students. Students have got an opportunity to learn how to manage small business units.
Along with the exhibition, an entrepreneurial training programme was also organised and effectively conducted. The programme aims to give training on fruit and vegetable preservation and bakery by a training officer Smt.Devika Mohanan, faculty of Food processing Anamanada on all days of our programme. Another training programme was conducted by Udayam Carry Bag Unit Nattika to train the students and public in making carry bags.
A separate stall was managed wholly by our students where products manufactured by students are teachers were exhibited and sold. Paintings by students and teachers were also exhibited and sold in the exhibition.
